Hi!

Our names are Craig and Robyn and together we created surviving wild bushcraft. Our aim is to help people make the most of our natural world. Our passion and love for nature shines through in our teaching as we help our customers, friends and families to enjoy the outdoors.

Our courses help people to learn and develop skills that will enable them to not only survive but thrive outdoors and we hope that we are able to provide everyone one we meet with a greater appreciation to enjoy and respect our natural surroundings allowing them to reconnect with nature, which sadly too many of us have forgotten how to do.

We are both invested in our planet and do everything in our power to be eco friendly and live sustainably, be it through the solar panels on our roof or the wind turbine that powers our lighting or our conscious effort to reduce waste and shop locally. We believe that gaining the knowledge we offer can aid in living a more sustainable life, for example, foraging allows us to take advantage of the natural vitamins and minerals needed in each season and is a great natural food source with zero carbon footprint.

Craig

Craig has always been drawn to the outdoors, he spent his childhood hiking in the Canadian mountains and fishing the great lakes and by 17 he was living in the UK and was awarded his queen scout award which is the highest award you can receive as a scout, he received this on the HMS Victory by the Admiral of the fleet. He has carried this passion for the outdoors through his whole life, leading all ages of scout groups and spending his free time in the outdoors with our family.

In recent years Craig decided he wanted to be able to encourage others to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate it as he does. This led him to attaining his Level 4 NCFE teaching certificate for bushcraft and now he is thrilled to be teaching others about his passion and helping them to gain new skills.

Robyn

Robyn has always been passionate about nature in all forms, she spent her childhood outdoors in the fields behind her house doing all the things that we believe children should spend their childhood doing. Catching grass hopers, building dens, jumping in mud! Throughout her life she has continued to thrive outdoors and since having children has made it her goal in life to help others to nurture, nature and enjoy it in hopes to encourage the next generation to see the importance of the natural world.

She graduated from Kingston Maurward College on the Level 3 Wildlife, Ecology and conservation management course, this has further developed her skills and knowledge in the natural world. Robyn is always seeking out methods and opportunities to support nature and encourage others to do the same.

Our Philosophy

Every one deserves the knowledge to make the most of our natural world without damaging it and we strive to help others gain this knowledge.
